Who am I?

That is a very good question. I’ll let you know when I figure that out.

Hopefully, that brings about a chuckle, or a nod of agreeance amongst most people. I could easily write a well thought out personal story that makes makes me seem like I have my life perfectly together and describe to you a 10 year plan that includes the exact job I will attain, the husband I will have by age 25, the two kids I will pop out by age 28, and the two kittens that will be happily napping in my mid-sized suburban cottage on the outskirts of a metropolitan city…

That all being said, life has a funny way of unfolding, and if I have learned anything in my youthful 22 years of living on this earth, its that one cannot simply “plan” their life. It just doesn’t work like that. Period. End of story.

For those of you who know me, I go by Em, Emily, Ecam, or HEY YOU. Really whatever gets my attention. Like I said, I am 22 years young, and I am in a season of life where I am trying to discover my true passions and where my purpose lies however cliche that may sound. I’m only half expecting this blog to reveal that to me. Just kidding. Jesus take the wheel. Please. Truthfully, I’m hoping that the experiences that I’ll be sharing will ultimately lead me to answer the simple question that is so engrained in our existence as humans — that question of: who am I?

I am Emily Cameron.

I am passionate, I am loving, I am kind, I am crazy, I am funny, I am positive, I am audacious, I am caring, I am enthusiastic, I am joyful, I am dedicated, I am hopeful, I am a leader.

I love my work ethic, I love people, I love children, I love food, I love my spirit for adventure, I love random acts of kindness, I love the ocean, I love the mountains, I love fresh air, I love being active, and I love the earth that God has created for us to explore.

But does that really answer the question of who I am? Absolutely not, that’s just scratching the surface.

Stay tuned for the wild ride – aka my life – that y’all are about to see play out through this blog. Be prepared to laugh and probably cry too, because you best believe I’ll be doing the same. Happy Reading!!
